Chapter 01 · Draft
A letter without a sender
The letter arrived dry. Everything else that came through the harbour was damp by morning: wool, bread, the backs of chairs. Even the brass records sweated salt.
A quiet place for a busy imagination
A cozy writing nook for your chapters, your characters, and the world growing between them.

Try a quieter pageThe idea behind VeilPlume
We’re building an offline writing and worldbuilding app, with a one-time purchase planned. This sample is a place to explore what’s taking shape.
The finished app is planned to keep your work on your device.
A one-time purchase is planned. Pricing and a release date are still to come.
Chapters, characters, timelines, family trees, and imported maps in one workspace. File saving and backups are still in development.
Before you settle in
Not yet. VeilPlume is in development. The sample is an interactive concept, not a finished product, and there is no checkout or release date.
No. Changes and imported images stay in browser memory for this session and disappear when you reload. Use the sample to explore the tools; keep your manuscript in a saved document elsewhere.
That is the goal. The sample adapts to smaller screens, but installable desktop, tablet and phone releases still need to be built and tested.
You can import a PNG or JPG image exported from Wonderdraft into the sample’s Maps tab, then add location pins linked to World notes. The sample also accepts WebP images. It does not open native .wonderdraft_map project files or update automatically when the original changes.
Automatic cloud syncing is not planned. The intended workflow is to save a full project file and transfer it yourself when you want to switch devices. That file-saving workflow is still in development.
